Pre Season Going Well

Seems like our pre-season has gone unusually well. Five successive wins over Peterborough, Borussia Munching Glad Backs, Pana.., Panathen…err, you know some Greek side that I can’t spell, MK Dons and Ipswich, with only one goal conceded. I don’t tend to place much store in results of pre-season games, as it’s all about gaining fitness and sharpness, and trying out new ideas, but the results should help breed some confidence for when the season proper gets under way.

Good news so far (touches wood and crosses fingers) is there are no injury worries, even better is that the likes of Dyer and Gabbidon have had a few run-outs and seem to be OK. Lets hope we can get through the remaining two games with no problems. Deportivo should provide interesting opposition next weekend. Carlton Cole has bagged himself four goals in these games, so hopefully he can carry on that form into the new season.

No doubt this will prove to be a false dawn, in the usual West Ham fashion. 😐
