First Game, Can’t Wait For Kick-Off

First match is Villa away. My ticket is sorted, providing Royal Mail don’t lose it, and I’m now really looking forward to the start of the new season. Crap seat though, right up at the back of the stand 😦 . Be good to get a result up there for a change – haven’t beaten them on their own patch since 2005/6 season. Stupidly, I’m feeling quite optimistic about this one (especially if Milner gets sold by then), so we’ll probably lose.

Hope to meet up with a former boss of mine, who is a Villa fan, before the game for a beer and to catch up with all the gossip.

A more-or-less second string team drew a friendly 1-1 at Sarfend last night. Seems like it wasn’t a particularly exciting game, but not much to worry about and no injuries.
