Cant’ Defend, Can’t Finish

But apart from that, we were OK. Yes, really!

We gave away two very soft goals in the first quarter of an hour and I feared that we would join the list of sides that have conceded 6 goals (or worse!) this season. But we didn’t drop our heads and kept fighting. Obinna, who otherwise had a top debut, blew three good chances in the first half. However, the lad caused Chelsea problems throughout the game. Jacobsen also had a decent debut at right-back.

Green is way out of sorts at the moment and it seems the World Cup horror is still affecting him. Grant needs to do some work to get Green’s head right as soon as possible. Upson also is still off his game, as is Cole. On the other hand, Parker having put pen to a new contract, looked back to his best and it was a class finish for our goal.

Bloody tubes were made worse when it was announced during the game that Canning Town station was closed due to “an incident”. Ended up walking back to Stratford. Got sore feet. 😦
