Spuds Get Boiled

Back to the blog again after a few days holiday and a lot of work to catch up on. While I was away, we managed a good win in the League Cup at Sunderland, with both our new strikers getting on the score sheet.

I was back in time to see us win our first league game of the season against the Spuds. It was a fine performance and we deserved the win. Piq and Obinna caused their defenders a lot of problems and Parker and Noble bossed the midfield. For a change, the defence looked pretty sound. Good atmosphere in the ground too, which makes a pleasant change.

Fulham came to the Boleyn on Saturday unbeaten and went away with a point. We were perhaps a little lucky to snatch a point, as Foolham had more of the possession and only a couple of excellent saves by England’s no. one in the second half kept us alive. Having said that, it was good to see us come back from a goal down to get something from the game. The ref was awful.
