We’re all Doomed!

Typical West Ham! They take you from the highs of the win over Manure, to the lows of successive league defeats against the Mackems and Man City, leaving us rooted firmly to the bottom of the table, and it looks grim now. Something drastic needs to happen in the transfer window in order to rescue the situation, but with no money to spend, it’s going to take some very clever (or lucky) manouvering in the market. Our only other hope is that the likes of Noble, Hitzlsperger can return from injury and inspire some sort of upturn in form.

The real problem is that there are just too many weaknesses in the whole side. Defensively we were a shambles yesterday and Downes has his work cut out coaching that area. In midfield we are lightweight, not competing (Parker excepted) and lack creativity. While up front, Obinna blows hot and cold, and even when hot, is more likely to hit the corner flag than the goal. Piq has been OK, but lacks real support both from his fellow strikers and from the midfield. The less said about Cole’s performances this season the better – he must be a prime candidate to be sold off in Jan, but who will be willing to pay decent wedge for him?
